This is one of my favorite songs, from the brilliant Umbrellas of Cherbourg, a French movie from 1964, and starring Catherine Deneuve and Nino Castelnuovo as lovers separated by the Algerian War. It's a gorgeous, tender, bittersweet movie that is almost entirely sung and still can make me flutter and cry.
